Can you assist me?
Here is my setup:
Router: LinkSys WRT160N running DD-WRT v24-SP1 mini
Affected Computers: Laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate x86, Desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate x64
AV Protection: Windows Defender on both computers.
Firewall Protection: Both computers are using the Windows Firewall.
Spyware Protection: Both computers are using MalwareBytes AntiMalware.
Network Setup: My entire network is Wired, via Power Bridges, except for 1 Vista laptop (wireless) on the 2nd floor.
Items on Network: 1 Vista Home Premium x64 laptop (2nd floor), 1 Vista Home Premium x64 Desktop (3rd floor, connected to 3rd Power Bridge), 1 Windows 7 Ultimate x 86 laptop (living room), 1 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 desktop (sun room), 1 iMac 10.6.1 (office), 1 Apple TV (living room), 1 Nintendo Wii (living room), 1 8-Port Network Switch (connected to Windows 7 x86 laptop, Apple TV, Nintendo Wii, 2nd Power Bridge), 1 LinkSys WRT160N Router (connected to iMac, VOIP Box, 1 Power Bridge), 1 VOIP Box, 3 Power Bridges.
I’m attempting to get
both my Windows 7 computers (Final Code of “7″ as per MS TechNet) to
run the Speed Meter Pro network test, yet it’s not working. Speed Meter Pro is working perfectly on the Vista computers. The iMac is not compatible with Speed Meter Pro. This is what I’ve done so far:
I’ve
enabled UPnP on my Router.
I’ve started, and set to automatic, the UPnP Service on each Windows 7 computer.
I’ve
added exceptions, for Speed Meter Pro, to each Windows 7 computer’s firewall.
Does anyone
out there have any ideas as to what I may be missing? If so, email me at question@matthewbhowell.com
