Tech Support at odd hours

July 16th, 2009

I received a phone call this morning (12:30 am, to be precise) on both my business phone as well as my cellphone – it was from a guy in Hawaii who wanted Tech Support for his desktop computer. I am, first off, quite pleased that someone from as far away as Hawaii felt that he could trust me with his computer concerns and I was glad that I was able to assist him with his computer questions. As it turned out, I wasn’t able to solve his issue over the phone – I suggested that, if his issue persisted, he might want to take his computer to a local repair shop.

Even with all of my locally based ad campaigns, I am quite pleased that my advertisements are reaching as far as Hawaii.

Scottevest purchase

After it arrives, and I have had a chance to test it out, I will post a review.

Unconventional Data Backup

July 3rd, 2009

I’m needing to use unconventional methods in order to perform a data backup for a customer’s laptop – the laptop in question is currently sitting on one of my worktables. It has already shut down on me 3 times when I attempted previous backups over the last hour. I ordered a laptop cooling mat for my customer which will be available sometime tomorrow morning, since the previous shutdowns are due to heat-related issues.
